- Presentation by Mendota Heights Fire Department – Fire Protection Services
Fire Chief Dave Dreelen introduced his staff and began his presentation which included information on the following:
- The construction and remodeling of the Fire Department Station
- The staff of the fire department is made of thirty-six members and there are no full-time employees. All firefighters have other jobs. The station is not staffed at any time.
- Response time to Sunfish Lake for a call that comes in on 911
- Discussed the equipment/vehicles and what purpose each serves when responding to a call
- Mutual Aid Agreements
- How each call is managed within the City of Sunfish Lake and the protocols that are required
- Demonstration of a firefighter putting on his equipment/clothing and how much each piece costs. Discussed how long each piece of equipment can be used and the process for cleaning the equipment/clothing.
- Replacement cost of the trucks/vehicles
- Questions

Mayor O’Leary adjourned the meeting at 6:45 p.m.
