 SUNFISH LAKE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING - NOVEMBER 15, 2022

4:30 P.M. - FIRST CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH

Attendants:

Mayor:  Dan O’Leary

Councilmembers:  Mike Hovey, Shari Hansen, and Ginny Beckett

City Clerk:  Cathy Iago

    Councilmember Steven Bulach was absent.

1.   CALL TO ORDER:  Mayor O’Leary called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.  

2.  ADOPT OFFICIAL CANVASS RESULTS OF THE 2022 CITY OF SUNFISH LAKE MUNICIAPL ELECTION:  Clerk Iago presented her official canvass report of the November 8, General Election dated November 15, 2022 and also a proposed resolution canvassing the returns of the November 8, 2022 General Election. She also presented the Abstract of Votes Cast as prepared by Dakota County and asked that Council adopt the resolution and approve the Abstract of Votes Cast.

There was a brief discussion relating to write-in votes and whether or not the percentage of voters at the polls on election day was less than in previous years.

Mayor O’Leary asked if there were any further questions or comments and there was no response.

Mayor O’Leary moved to approve the Abstract of Votes Cast as prepared by Dakota County and to adopt Resolution No. 22-20 titled, a resolution canvassing returns of the nOVember 8, 2022 general ELECTION, seconded by Councilmember Hovey and carried. (4-0)

 Mayor O’Leary asked if there was any further business and there was no response.

3.  ADJOURN:   Mayor O’Leary adjourned the meeting at 4:35 p.m.
