1. Call to Order
Mayor O’Leary called the meeting to order.
2. Approve Agenda
Mayor O’Leary asked if there were any additions or corrections to the agenda.
Councilmember Nelson moved to adopt the agenda as amended, seconded by Councilmember Bulach. Motion carried (4-0).
3. Consent Agenda
Councilmember Bulach moved to approve the consent agenda, seconded by Mayor O’Leary. Motion carried (4-0).

c) Monthly Financial Statements
d) Receive Building Inspection Report
e) Receive City Forester Report
f) Receive Public Safety Report
g) Engineer’s Report

4. Comments from the Public
There were no comments from the public.
5. Public Hearing/Presentations
There were no public hearings or presentations.
6. New/Other Business:
a. City Survey Results
Councilmember Bulach reviewed the comments from the last meeting and noted that the city will not be moving forward with the Flock System per the results of the survey and will continue to work with the Police Department on any recommendations they have moving forward. Councilmember Bulach noted that as of now the Safety Committee will not be meeting unless necessary.
Chief Sturgeon noted that they will continue to push out crime prevention techniques through the city newsletter and emails, promote neighborhood watch groups and police resources to the citizens. Chief Sturgeon discussed the purchase of the second camera system.
Councilmember Hovey moved to authorize the purchase of a second camera system at an amount not to exceed $11,000.00, seconded by Councilmember Bulach. Motion carried (4-0).
b. Emergency Management Ordinance
Mayor O’Leary moved to adopt Ordinance No. 25-2, an ordinance amending Article II of the City Code of the City of Sunfish Lake by adding Emergency Management Section 203, seconded by Councilmember Nelson. Motion carried (4-0).
c. 2026 Budget
Treasurer Stark provided detailed information on the 2026 preliminary budget and each line-item. The final presentation will be made at the September 9th meeting
