DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY, MAY 4th9:00 am – 1:00 pm\NThe Arbor Day event will happen along Salem Church Road on the 494 side, roughly between the stop sign at Windy Hill Road and 45 Salem Church Road.\NPlease join with our neighbors to plant trees, share treats and conversations, and welcome spring to our City.\NReserve a Time to Plant Trees with the City Forester.\NCall ahead to reserve a time for your family/group tree planting at 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, noon, and 1 pm.\NAll planting holes will be pre-dug and ready for installing trees but bring gloves and your favorite planting shovel. A few extra shovels will be on hand.\NPlease contact Jim Nayes with any questions at 612-803-9033 or jim_nayes@mac.com\NTrees for Sale\NThere will be limited numbers of witch hazel, osage orange, and button bush are available at $10.00 each. Robert Trail, Inver Grove Heights, 55077.\NMembers of your police department will be there to provide information on the investigation, crime prevention tips, and listen to the community about their concerns.\NThis is a community meeting put together by the Police Department.   Members of the City Council may be present, however no official city business will be taking place at this time.

We are ready for next steps.\NJim and Jeannine Nayes will host an educational meeting at their home at 42 Labyrinth Lane on Wednesday, August 26 at 7 pm. Please stop by to meet Musser Park Restoration Committee members, pick up information, ask questions, and see visuals related to this potential park restoration.\NSunfish Lake has an exciting opportunity to partner with the Minnesota Land Trust to improve Musser Park by removing invasive Amur maple and buckthorn and restoring the area to beautiful native prairie and oak savanna. This could all start as soon as this winter so please bring your questions, your neighbors, and even your children to see the vision of what could be in store for our City’s largest park. (We have both indoor and outdoor activities for kids.)\NThe process of restoring Musser Park began over five years ago with an idea for a “Friends of Musser Park Committee”. About two years ago the City Forester brought the Musser Park Restoration idea to a Minnesota Land Trust representative during their annual visit to the park. They were interested and they are now getting the project ready to go.
